Our people fight on the frontline in Israel for the first time in modern history:   The spiritual fight for the father land is over, but the physical fight for the mother land has just begun! After receiving status from the Israeli government, the community in Dimona sent their children to the frontlines of the battle fields as the IDF began its' war with Lebanon. And for the first time in modern history our people fought for our land again. Yisrael Today News talked to Brother Yahoshafa ben Israel, a young man of the Dimona community, as he went to serve in the Israeli military on the frontline with some of this friends, also from the KOY. The group stated that they were honored to be the first our people to fight for our land. And many young men and women of the KOY have enlisted in the army. Machsael ben Ak-machsael (photo left, and on the left), another young soldier of the K.O.Y. also explained why he stood up. Machsael: "First of all, my father, my mother and the others that came in the beginning stood up to the plat and that's why I stand up. They had their struggles in the beginning and they sacrificed what they had to sacrifice to get me here to this point. Therefore, I have no doubt in my mind that I want to take it to the next level." In the photo below Brother Howshua give his respect to Yochi Edwards and explains to him the divisions of the Isrealite White, Red, and Green government in which the Green government are the young men that stand up and fight for our people.

The community in Dimona received their new identification cards 3 years ago (August 27, 2003), which did not require military service. And the first member of the Israelite Community to voluntarily enlist in the IDF, Uriahu Butler, was inducted into the army July 29,2004. By March 2005, some 70 boys and girls from the community also enlisted. Their enlistment process was complicated by the community's strict vegan dietary traditions, which extend to wearing all-cotton clothes and a ban on leather shoes. The community agreed to comply with IDF requirements and the IDF agreed to allow Israelite soilders to wear cloth shoes instead of army-issue boots; the congregation will forgo the stricture regarding cotton clothing.

During the war with Lebanon when these young men went to the frontlines of the fight to defend the land of Israel. At that time the Brothers Howshua and Yeshiyah (representing the house of Ephraim) made an additional call throughout the Hebrew community for additional volunteers to come up and fight along side our brothers of the tribe of Judah.
